The Huffington Post Article

I don't know if I ever put up this link or not. In case I haven't, here it is. An article on the famous internet newspaper called The Huffington Post. Their story about Goodreads and about recent events is very insightful. You might find it interesting.

Please keep in mind that this story has nothing at all to do with me. I understand this. I just thought it was an interesting article and what with recent events, thought I would post the link to that story.

Good God, you would think a person can't even post links to a good story anymore without all the dip-wads coming out and declaring the freaking obvious. LOL I never said it had anything to do with me, now did I? (That last part was for all the whack jobs who were commenting that it has nothing to do with me, according to Ira, who is still moderating all comments for me so I do not know what exactly you bullies are posting.) Just saying.

  1. I have read this article, and I agree. If someone rates a book 1 star and gives it a bad review without having read the book, it is bullying. I have watched Mr. Bryant's ratings and reviews go sour ever since this outbreak against him. Those people who are giving his books 1 star ratings and bad reviews clearly have not read his books. They are merely attacks on him and is bullying. Giving credibility to the Huffington Post article.

What shocks me the most is, I know, or thought I knew, the girl behind this attack. I thought Jude was her real name. She has posts in her group standing against bullying and yet, she organized this assault against Mr. Bryant. A major contradiction here. So far, I have yet to see any evidence that Mr. Bryant was being any kind of bully to anyone. Yes, I saw this alleged email however, it is not proof of bullying, just proof that somebody was real angry.

I'm real sorry this happened to you, Mr. Bryant. Perhaps these people went after the wrong author. You seem to be well connected for this story having been covered by Huffington Post. It certainly sheds a bad light upon Good Reads, that's for sure. If I were Good Reads, I would be concerned about damage control. Instead, they do seem to continue to endorse this type of behavior. Their reputation is taking a huge hit with this publicity. I wouldn't be the least surprised to see this on 60 Minutes.
